About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at our service center to perform hands on maintenance and repairs on Tesla electric vehicles. This role involves direct interaction with customers, requiring clear communication and a focus on teamwork. You will learn about electric vehicle systems and our technologies during your time with us.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service on vehicles.
- Operate hand, power, and shop tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new cars.
- Manage inventory, track time, and organize shop supplies and parts.
- Assist with vehicle cleanliness for customer cars.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations as needed or through a rotation.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
