About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at the service center to complete hands-on tasks and assist with vehicle maintenance. This role involves working directly with customer vehicles and requires strong communication skills. You will learn about electric vehicles and the technologies used to support sustainable energy.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, repair, and service Tesla electric vehicles.
- Operate hand, power, and shop tools.
- Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new cars.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies and parts.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
