About the role#
As a Collision Technician Trainee Intern, you will join the team responsible for repairing Tesla electric vehicles. This role focuses on learning technical skills and supporting senior technicians in a shop environment. You will work on various collision repair tasks while gaining experience with Tesla technology.
What you'll do#
- Perform guided entry-level work on Tesla electric vehicles.
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Handle collision repair operations, including detail, paint prep, disassembly, reassembly, estimating, and mechanical tasks.
- Assist senior technicians with vehicle repairs.
- Maintain shop inventory, records of time, and supplies.
- Support Front and Back of House operations as needed or on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of collision repair methods and techniques.
- Current enrollment in a Collision or Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is preferred, and you must be able to report to the local collision repair center.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
