About the role#
As a Collision Technician Trainee Intern, you will work alongside senior technicians to repair Tesla electric vehicles. This position involves learning about electric vehicle technology and supporting daily shop operations. You will interact with customers and contribute to the team in a hands-on environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform guided entry-level work on Tesla vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Handle collision repair tasks such as disassembly, reassembly, paint prep, detailing, and estimating.
- Assist senior technicians with mechanical operations.
- Maintain records of time, shop supplies, and parts inventory.
- Support front and back of house operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of collision repair methods and techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work in a team.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Current enrollment in a collision or automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
