About the role#
Tenaska Marketing Ventures is looking for a Market Insights Intern to join the Communications and Customer Engagement team. This position offers exposure to market research, business analytics, and marketing strategy within the natural gas industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support commercial teams and strategic initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Research natural gas industry trends, market developments, and customer segments.
- Gather competitive intelligence and organize data from various sources.
- Create reports, charts, and dashboards to support business decisions.
- Assist with customer satisfaction analysis, including work related to the Mastio customer survey.
- Maintain and improve recurring team reports and data quality.
- Help develop an analytics framework for customer engagement activities.
- Support event reporting by identifying CRM data requirements and creating tracking dashboards.
- Assist with internal and external communications, including newsletter creation and presentation development.
- Help maintain marketing content libraries and provide support for proposals and RFPs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, data analytics, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Junior-level academic standing or equivalent progress.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new tools and business concepts.
- Prior internship or professional work experience in a business setting.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Coursework or project experience in data analysis, reporting, marketing, or communications.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
- Experience with reports, presentations, or data visualizations through coursework or student organizations.
