About the role#
This internship offers exposure to interdisciplinary energy project development teams. You will work alongside project professionals, engineers, environmental scientists, and market analysts. The role supports energy projects including natural gas, battery storage, solar, and wind. You will assist with the development process from initial siting to advanced stages.
What you'll do#
- Create development plans including schedules, budgets, and decision points.
- Build economic proforma and valuation models.
- Review financial information for accuracy.
- Prepare reports and research for senior management and customers.
- Support pricing analysis and bidding strategy for revenue contracts.
- Identify development issues and propose solutions.
- Build relationships with landowners, politicians, and regulators.
- Communicate analysis results to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal and external professionals to complete project tasks.
- Conduct market research and due diligence.
- Read and interpret various project-related documents.
What you'll need#
- Significant progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the energy industry.
- Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with PC, Windows, Word, and database systems.
- Strong market and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to navigate complex environments with limited guidance.
- Strong project management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle confidential company information.
- High level of initiative, assertiveness, and flexibility.
- Knowledge of financial and business information systems.
