About the role#
This paid, 40-hour per week internship offers a hands-on training program designed to prepare you for store leadership. Over the course of the summer, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to understand how the retail business functions and what is required to excel in management.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Align the team on daily business priorities.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, training, and coaching to team members.
- Lead daily operations, including stocking shelves and building displays, while ensuring a safe environment.
- Review business reporting and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot opportunity areas.
- Present at daily huddles and organize plans to meet store goals.
- Engage with guests to solve needs and ensure a welcoming experience.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to climb ladders and frequently lift or move merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Human Resources.
