About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship designed to prepare you for a career in store leadership. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working alongside a mentor to understand how our retail business functions. You will spend your time on the sales floor and in the backroom, learning how to lead teams, drive results, and manage store operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead a retail team and align them on daily business priorities.
- Teach, coach, and provide performance feedback to team members.
- Drive guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered.
- Partner with store leaders to set goals, organize plans, and troubleshoot business opportunities.
- Participate in daily huddles and present summaries of results and priorities.
- Support daily operations, including stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Engage with guests to solve their needs and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and the ability to think in a team-oriented way.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders as needed.
- Capacity to scan, handle, and move merchandise, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
