About the role#
This paid, full-time internship is a hands-on training program designed to prepare you for store leadership. Over the course of the summer, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working closely with mentors and store managers. You will develop an understanding of retail business fundamentals while leading team members and driving store priorities.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support daily store operations by working alongside team members in the salesfloor and backroom.
- Partner with store leaders to evaluate team performance, provide coaching, and deliver feedback.
- Drive guest engagement by ensuring a welcoming environment and empowering team members to solve guest needs.
- Participate in internship training activities, developmental events, and daily leadership huddles.
- Manage and prioritize daily department workloads to meet sales and service goals.
- Collaborate with store leaders to set business strategies and review performance reporting.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management and a commitment to developing leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritize tasks independently.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
