About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, hands-on internship program designed to prepare you for store leadership. As a Store Executive Intern, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role over the summer of 2027. You will work alongside a mentor to understand how retail operations function and what is required to excel in a management position. This role is on-site and focuses on developing your ability to lead teams, drive sales, and manage store operations.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Align the team on daily business priorities and lead through daily tasks, such as stocking shelves and building displays.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
- Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles.
- Plan daily goals and organize work plans within the store.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot opportunity areas.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to assist shoppers.
- Participate in program training activities and developmental opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and secure work environment.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
