About the role#
This Winter 2027 internship or co-op position supports the Electrical System Reliability (ESR) and NERC Compliance teams. You will gain professional experience by assisting with data analysis, project management, and process improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Gather and compile asset data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy for analysis.
- Support the Electrical System Reliability team in maintaining asset monitoring plan databases and developing maintenance strategies.
- Assist the NERC Compliance team with updates, reviews, and the coordination of project deliverables.
- Develop project plans, roadmaps, and process flows.
- Help the ESR team with administrative tasks including work management and procurement.
- Use software tools to execute process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic decisions based on data insights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university as a junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical), Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or IT.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with or knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data tools.
- Ability to provide project and customer support.
- A valid driver's license.
- If applying for co-op status, you must be enrolled in your university's co-op program.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Eastern Service Area (ECC).
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time hours.
- Note: This role requires weekly field visits, which involve riding in company vehicles, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering substations. Responding to storms is a condition of employment.
