About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time field internship based in Loomis, Nebraska. You will work alongside Operations Specialists and Technicians to gain hands-on experience with pipeline infrastructure and related equipment. This role is on-site and runs for 10 weeks from May through August 2026.
What you'll do#
- Operate and maintain equipment including pipelines, compressors, engines, turbines, motors, pumps, and dehydration units.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and assist in the diagnosis and repair of valves, seals, and instruments.
- Handle general upkeep of facilities and equipment.
- Learn about electrical, measurement, and control integrity, including troubleshooting and calibration.
- Participate in safety programs and initiatives.
- Develop Operations and Maintenance Procedures, project scopes, and work plans.
- Maintain documentation and project records.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Active enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant technical or associate degree program.
- Experience using MS Office applications.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using specialized tools.
- Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data.
- Basic understanding of schematics, technical reports, and engineering drawings.
- Strong focus on safe work practices.
- Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
