About the role#
This internship provides exposure to accounting and financial reporting within the energy infrastructure industry. You will work with various departments to gain insight into the business while completing a variety of tasks. This is a full-time, paid position with the potential for a future accounting role upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic internal forecasts.
- Work with other departments to ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting and third-party transactions.
- Prepare financial statements and related footnotes.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests for internal departments and external audit.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and platforms.
Location & details#
- This is a 10-week summer internship occurring from May to August 2027.
- The role is based in Lakewood, Colorado, with on-site and hybrid work options available.
