About the role#
Tallgrass is hiring a Project Controls Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a temporary, full-time, on-site position based in Houston, Texas. You will support the project management team by monitoring costs, schedules, and risks to ensure projects remain on track.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update project schedules using scheduling software.
- Support cost tracking and budget monitoring activities.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Collaborate with project managers and project controls professionals to gather and analyze project data.
- Participate in risk and change management documentation.
- Assist with data entry, document control, and maintaining project records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project controls function.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August, 10 weeks).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.09 to $37.09 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
