About the role#
Hilcorp is looking for a part-time Accounting Intern to join the JIB Accounting team in Downtown Houston. This role supports the team with financial processes and special projects. You will work on-site to assist with day-to-day accounting tasks.
What you'll do#
- Prepare manual journal entries for recurring team expenses.
- Calculate payouts for wells.
- Analyze and process non-operated JIBs.
- Collaborate with JIB accountants on specific projects.
- Assist with overflow work and handle additional projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and employee information.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with different priorities without needing close supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Capacity to build effective working relationships with team members and other departments.
