About the role#
Hilcorp is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Houston, Texas. You will work within one of several IT disciplines, including SAP Technical, Infrastructure, Operations Technology, Technical Services, F&A Data Strategy, Human Resource Technology, or GIS.
What you'll do#
- Develop new software applications and improve existing software for internal clients.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to acquire, cleanse, and integrate data from various sources.
- Build data connections and support report developers with data access.
- Digitize, process, and manage GIS data using ESRI products.
- Gather requirements, perform testing, and troubleshoot issues for application implementation efforts.
- Assist with data analysis and create interactive dashboards to visualize key performance indicators.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geology, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
