About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker for the English Department for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Make copies and file paperwork.
- Complete research to help create assignments.
- Answer phones and run campus errands.
- Close caption videos for Canvas.
- Prepare materials for classroom use.
- Check and update classroom technology.
- Update assignment due dates on syllabi and in Canvas.
- Create and update Excel spreadsheets to track SLO data.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- You must maintain your enrollment in good status.
- Reliability is expected, including showing up on time and providing notice for schedule changes.
- You should maintain professionalism, keep cell phone use to a minimum, and protect confidentiality.
