About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will support the field office in achieving project profitability and schedule goals. This is a paid, full-time internship position with a rolling term. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and project logs.
- Prepare document distributions for subcontractors.
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of CPM schedules.
- Support the determination of weekly labor production quantities.
- Process submittals and maintain the submittal log.
- Process RFIs and maintain the RFI log within the CMS system.
- Maintain the expediting log and assist with project filing system maintenance.
- Input data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys.
- Assist with Affirmative Action program documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong self-starting capabilities and the ability to use independent judgment.
- Basic estimating and scheduling skills are desirable, as are drafting and computer skills.
