About the role#
Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is hiring an Environmental and Science Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Holcomb, Kansas. You will work with professionals to support compliance, technical processes, and special initiatives within an electric utility.
What you'll do#
You will split your time between field work and office tasks. Your responsibilities include:
- Researching regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with air quality, water, and waste management compliance.
- Supporting chemical, physical, and laboratory procedures.
- Participating in environmental sampling events.
What you'll need#
- Two years of post-high school education in environmental science or a related science field.
