About the role#
Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is offering a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help maintain the safety and reliability of our power systems. This position provides exposure to both field work and office tasks within an electric utility.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair critical protection, relay, SCADA, PLC, communications, metering, and automation equipment.
- Collaborate with a team-oriented group with years of experience.
- Split your time between field environments and the office.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of an associate degree in industrial electrical, instrument and control, or electronics.
- Successful completion of the Edison Electric Institute Technician Occupation Selection System (TECH) test.

- Locations: Garden City, KS or Great Bend, KS.
- Modality: On-site only.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
