About the role#
The Management Insights team supports Sun Life Canada through reporting, analytics, and insights for the Canadian Executive Team, the Board of Directors, and investors. As a student in this role, you will help develop and review performance reporting across key measures and strategic progress. You will gain exposure to business units and enablement functions while building skills in financial analysis, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
What you'll do#
- Support quarterly external reporting deliverables, including analytics and materials such as the MD&A and news releases.
- Assist with quarterly internal reporting, including the Board Report and CFO presentations.
- Contribute to competitive insights by reviewing peer performance and identifying trends for senior leaders.
- Prepare clear, polished PowerPoint presentations, briefing notes, and Excel files for executive audiences.
- Identify and support opportunities to improve recurring deliverables, processes, and automation tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with a focus in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile information across multiple sources.
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset.
