About the role#
As a Biomedical Engineering intern, you will join the Research and Development team in Cary, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our facility to support the development of medical technologies. You will be placed in either the New Product Development or Product Engineering team to gain hands-on experience in the medical equipment industry.
What you'll do#
- Identify the needs and goals of future products by researching new technologies, customer expectations, and business requirements.
- Design new products and manage them through the process from initial concept to final production.
- Analyze product performance data, customer feedback, and root cause analysis to improve the safety and efficacy of existing products.
- Document complex technical processes and present your findings in a clear, accessible format.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move projects forward and solve technical challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employment-based sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and work effectively with team members.

- Compensation: $20 to $35 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus and 11 paid holidays.
