About the role#
This internship supports the Office of Patient & Customer Experience. You will help with research and review projects that focus on hospital policies, procedures, and department operations. You will work with site-based leaders to support initiatives that improve the patient experience across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data for department projects.
- Help study the efficiency and effectiveness of hospital operations and policies.
- Assist management with the rollout of new programs and procedures.
- Perform other related administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student.
- A major in Hospitality, Business or Healthcare Management, Public Health or Policy, Information or Computer Science, or Food and Nutrition Science.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous professional experience is preferred.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New Hyde Park, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Schedule: On-site, 30 hours per week.
- This position is paid, but we do not provide a stipend for lodging, travel, or meals.
