About the role#
This is a paid, ten-week summer internship for nursing students. You will work one-on-one with an RN preceptor to gain over 300 hours of clinical experience. The program is designed to help you build technical skills, strengthen your clinical judgment, and gain confidence in patient care before you graduate.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with an RN preceptor to gain hands-on clinical experience.
- Strengthen your clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Build technical nursing skills and increase your confidence in patient care.
- Develop the communication and teamwork skills needed for professional nursing practice.
- Complete a minimum of 300 hours of clinical work over the ten-week period.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nationally accredited nursing program.
- An expected baccalaureate graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Active enrollment in a summer nursing internship course through a Minnesota university.
- Ability to provide proof of course enrollment and a transcript in the spring of 2027.
- Pre-licensure status (licensed RNs are not eligible for this program).
- Ability to obtain BLS Tier 1 certification by the end of orientation.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (32 hours per week). Your schedule will mirror your assigned preceptor and may include day, evening, night, or weekend shifts.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
