About the role#
As an Inbound Sales Specialist, you will act as a consultative guide for students using our moving, storage, and shipping services. You will join the Customer Experience Team to help users navigate our platform and select the right service options for their needs.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website forms and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to promote our services.
- Provide accurate service estimates through phone, SMS, and email.
- Help customers complete their orders within our online portal.
- Suggest service upgrades and additional offerings.
- Generate new customer referrals.
What you'll need#
- Strong sales aptitude and exceptional communication skills.
- A professional phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence for interacting with clients and teammates.
- Ability to think critically and adapt to changing workloads.
- Technical proficiency to learn new software quickly.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience, such as retail or hospitality, is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a fully remote role based in the United States.
- The position is part-time, typically requiring 15 to 25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours during the peak season from March to May.
- You must be available for a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, during the peak season of March through September.
- The internship runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
- Compensation includes base pay plus commission, with estimated seasonal earnings between $4,500 and $10,000.
