About the role#
As an Inside Sales Representative, you act as a guide for students and families using our moving, storage, and shipping services. You work as part of the Customer Experience Team to help customers understand our offerings and complete their bookings. This is a part-time, seasonal internship with a preferred start date of January 25, 2027, and an end date of August 1, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from web form submissions and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to encourage service usage.
- Send service estimates to customers via phone, SMS, and email.
- Help customers navigate our online portal to book their moves.
- Pitch additional services and upgrades to customers.
- Generate new referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural sales aptitude.
- Strong critical thinking and high emotional intelligence.
- A professional phone presence.
- Ability to work through intense workloads and adapt to changes quickly.
- Tech-savviness and the ability to learn new software rapidly.
- Current students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
- Preference for candidates with 1-2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- You will work 15-25 hours per week on average, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- You must be able to maintain a flexible schedule during evenings and weekends during the peak season of March through September.
- Compensation includes base pay plus commission, with estimated seasonal earnings between $4,500 and $10,000.
