About the role#
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will act as a consultative guide for students and families navigating our move, storage, and shipping services. You will join our Customer Experience Team to help customers understand and adopt our service offerings.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from web form submissions and phone calls.
- Make proactive calls to existing and former customers to encourage service usage.
- Provide accurate service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Guide customers through the order process in our online portal.
- Promote service upgrades and additional offerings while generating referrals.
What you'll need#
- Strong sales aptitude and clear communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence to connect with clients and team members.
- Ability to think critically and adapt to changing workloads.
- A strong phone presence.
- Tech-savviness and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience in fields like retail or hospitality is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, requiring three days per week in the office.
- The internship is paid, with earnings based on base pay and commission performance.
- You will work 15 to 25 hours per week on average, with the potential for up to 40 hours during the peak season from March to May.
- Availability for a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends during the peak season (March to September) is required.
- This role is open to students across various majors, including Business Administration, Marketing, and Communications.
