About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with the accounting and HR departments at Steel Dynamics, Inc. You will learn how these departments function while gaining hands-on experience in an administrative capacity.
What you'll do#
You will support the team with daily office operations. Responsibilities include:
- Entering data for accounting and HR.
- Managing files and scanning documents.
- Answering phones.
- Performing general clerical tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a high school senior currently enrolled in an internship program through your school.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Huntington, West Virginia.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- The schedule is part-time, ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- The internship is available for the 2026-2027 school year, covering either or both semesters.
