About the role#
Starwood Capital Group is seeking a Fund Accounting Summer Intern for the summer of 2027. This program offers students interested in private equity and finance the chance to work directly on the accounting of real estate and energy infrastructure investments. Interns will work with senior management, joint venture partners, and commercial lenders. The program includes specialized training to help you transition into the investment industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare accounting reconciliations.
- Prepare and review waterfall schedules.
- Coordinate and review property level reports from Starwood Asset Management.
- Assist with the quarterly consolidation of investment funds, including fair value GAAP adjustments.
- Help prepare debt covenant compliance reports.
- Complete special reports and other ad hoc projects.
What you'll need#
- You must be a 2028 college graduate.
- A strong academic background, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- The ability to manage information, present it effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship located in Greenwich, Connecticut.
