About the role#
Dream is hiring an intern for the Development Accounting team for an 8-month term starting in January 2026. This is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto. You will work directly with the team to support financial operations, reporting, and project-based analysis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes.
- Record corporate journal entries, including inter-company transactions, equity investments, and distribution or contribution transactions.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
- Help prepare monthly reporting packages for business partners.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects such as cash flow forecasting.
- Learn accounting treatments for key transactions on specific real estate projects.
- Support team members and other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on Business or Accounting.
- Strong Excel skills and clear verbal and written communication.
- A detail-oriented approach to preparing deliverables.
- Ability to solve problems and develop solutions to key issues.
- A desire to pursue an accounting designation and commit to personal learning.
- Ability to work hard and smart to meet deadlines during high-pressure periods.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as a team player.
