About the role#
We are looking for a Water Resources Intern to join our team in Fredericksburg for Summer 2027. You will work alongside our staff to support environmental projects, gain practical experience, and contribute to our ongoing work with clients and communities.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support, including design, CAD drafting, and GIS processing.
- Perform technical tasks such as water quality calculations, drainage area delineations, and hydrologic calculations.
- Assist with construction observation and attend client meetings.
- Conduct fieldwork at various project sites.
- Help Project Managers with the implementation and management of environmental projects.
- Organize project files and track incoming and outgoing documentation.
- Assist staff with research and prepare project reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for environmental sciences or engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A genuine interest in performing both office and fieldwork.
