About the role#
We are seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in Las Vegas for the Fall 2026 term. This is an on-site, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience by working alongside our practitioners on water projects. You will report to the Senior Principal Project Manager while collaborating with project and task managers on daily activities and career development.
What you'll do#
- Support design staff with AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Management (BIM) design.
- Collect and organize project data.
- Prepare technical calculations, charts, graphs, and drawings.
- Perform modeling using Excel or hydraulic modeling software.
- Write portions of technical memoranda and research technical information.
- Backcheck drawing and technical memoranda corrections.
- Assist with proposal and resume writing.
- Engage in client interactions, presentations, and field investigations.
- Coordinate the production of reports and support the creation of plans and specifications.
- Take notes and assist full-time staff with various project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program (Civil Engineering major).
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to commit to at least 10 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint skills are a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility, versatility, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
