About the role#
When major construction projects face delays or cost increases, our Construction Delay team investigates the root causes. As an intern, you will join experts in engineering, architecture, and construction management to analyze project records and timelines. You will gain hands-on experience by working on high-profile infrastructure, power, and utility projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn how project schedules are built, updated, and analyzed.
- Use tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to explore timelines.
- Review construction schedules, drawings, progress reports, and emails to identify key facts.
- Analyze large data sets to find patterns and trends.
- Assist in creating expert reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Develop your ability to explain findings clearly.
- Manage your time across multiple project priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Prior experience through internships, student projects, or hands-on work in construction management or scheduling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Curiosity to learn new analytical tools and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
