About the role#
Stanley Consultants is hiring an Electrical Student Intern to join the energy team in Austin, Texas. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems.
What you'll do#
You will support engineering projects by learning to interpret drawings and specifications. Your daily tasks include performing engineering calculations, coordinating with vendors, and conducting field site visits. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers on specific design tasks, such as electrical system modeling, lighting and power calculations, and creating equipment wiring schematics. You will also manage panelboard schedules and back check drawings while working independently on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BSEE degree program at an ABET accredited university.
- Current standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
- Note: While the role is based in Austin, the requirements specify being local to the Denver area.
