About the role#
StandardAero is seeking a student to join the Environmental Health & Safety team for the 2026-2027 term. You will work directly with EHS professionals to learn how safety culture is built and maintained. This internship offers hands-on experience in job site inspections, safety audits, and environmental compliance. You will receive mentorship from experienced managers and gain insight into career paths within safety management and industrial hygiene.
What you'll do#
- Assist EHS staff with safety inspections and job hazard analyses at active electrical construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
- Collect and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Participate in the preparation of Job Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and safety inspection reports.
- Develop and deliver employee safety training and toolbox talks.
- Review and maintain environmental compliance records, including hazardous material handling and waste disposal documentation.
- Update records in the EHS database.
- Contribute to a Continued Improvement project and present your findings to company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027.
- Ability to work full-time or part-time during Fall/Winter 2026 and full-time during Summer 2027.
- Solid academic performance.
- Exceptional organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Strong technical experience gained through projects, research, or previous internships.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not provided).
- ISO45001 experience is preferred.
