About the role#
StandardAero is seeking students for an Engineering Intern or Co-op position within our Process Engineering team. You will gain hands-on industry experience by working alongside engineers on projects related to repair industrialization, tool and fixture design, and process improvement. This is a rolling internship opportunity based in DFW Airport, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Partner with production engineering teams to support Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
- Develop and implement repairs for engine components based on approved technical data.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and customer service specialists to complete initiatives.
- Coordinate process improvement projects using lean methodologies.
- Work with configuration control specialists to create and modify repair routings.
- Review Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical documents and engineering data.
- Procure or develop equipment to enable repair capabilities.
- Create new engineering data and process instructions.
- Observe all safety requirements and report unsafe conditions.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of engineering coursework at the Sophomore level.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Project, and Word.
- Experience with CAD and drafting software, such as Inventor, Fusion360, other Autodesk products, or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.

- Location: DFW Airport, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling, 10 to 12 weeks or longer.
- Status: Part-time or full-time options available during Summer, with at least part-time availability required for Fall and Winter terms.
- Note: Students must provide their own lodging.
