About the role#
SPX Technologies is hiring an HR Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in Cuba, Missouri. You will work directly with our HR team to gain hands-on experience in core HR functions and organizational processes within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support daily HR operations by maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and preparing documentation.
- Assist with recruitment tasks, including posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and helping with onboarding.
- Contribute to employee engagement and development by organizing events, supporting training programs, and gathering feedback.
- Partner with the HR team to ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
- Build foundational knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems, talent development, and business processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Coursework in HR management, employment law, organizational behavior, or labor relations is a plus.
- Experience in customer service, office administration, or student leadership roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll software is helpful.
- Participation in student HR associations, SHRM chapters, or business clubs is a plus.

- Modality: Full-time, on-site.

- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform keyboarding tasks, and read from computer screens or paper documents. The role may occasionally require work outside of normal business hours.
