About the role#
SPX Technologies is seeking a Project Management & Implementation Intern to support our teams in Elk Grove Village. This role is for an undergraduate student interested in how AI can improve business operations. You will spend your time observing project workflows, analyzing current procedures, and building tools to help our teams work more efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Learn and observe project management and implementation processes across various projects.
- Review existing templates, documentation, and tools to identify gaps or inefficiencies.
- Research ways to use AI to improve documentation quality and automate repetitive tasks like reporting.
- Build and prototype AI agents or tools to support project activities.
- Document your findings and present proof-of-concept solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to validate your ideas.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in applying AI to operational processes.
- Basic knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including prompt engineering.
- Experience building small prototypes, scripts, or working with tools like LLMs and workflow automation.
- Analytical skills and the ability to translate observations into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with project management concepts.
