About the role#
The Procurement Analytics Intern will support the Procurement and Sourcing teams by providing data analysis, reporting, and insights that improve decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience working with ERP data, dashboards, spend analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports, including spend analysis, savings tracking, and KPI metrics.
- Analyze large datasets across materials, suppliers, pricing, and purchase orders to identify trends.
- Support data validation and cleansing to ensure accuracy of ERP and procurement master data.
- Prepare executive summaries, presentations, and visualizations for leadership reviews.
- Conduct research on suppliers, market pricing, commodity trends, and benchmarking.
- Create standardized tools like templates, scorecards, and trackers to support sourcing events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Planning, on data-driven projects.
- Support automation or AI-driven initiatives by assembling structured datasets.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Experience working with data sets, spreadsheets, or reporting tools.
- Ability to interpret numerical data and present insights clearly.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with supply chain, procurement, finance, or operations concepts.
- Knowledge of KPIs such as cost savings, lead time, on-time delivery, PPV, and supplier scorecards.
- Ability to create professional presentations in PowerPoint.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
