About the role#
This internship supports the Construction Planning Services team. You will build standard operating procedures and dashboards to track projects as they move through the sales and production funnel. This is a project-based role where you will receive an assignment at the start of the summer and present your findings at a final project expo.
What you'll do#
- Develop a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery for your assigned project.
- Research and identify alternatives, best practices, and solutions for tracking projects.
- Compare and contrast current tools and methods for tracking project progress.
- Propose standard operating procedures for project tracking in commercial and production environments.
- Use Salesforce, Microsoft Planner, and other systems to map project progression.
- Propose metrics and tracking methods for job completions to improve customer satisfaction.
- Support internal and external communication by building dashboards and trackers.
- Present your project work at the end of the summer in a project expo.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or Engineering (Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical).
- Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Experience in systems thinking and process management.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
