About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers an introduction to commercial banking operations and strategy. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure to financial solutions and banking processes. The program includes workshops, training sessions, and networking events designed to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify client needs and suggest banking solutions.
- Assist with financial spreads, due diligence on potential borrowers, and loan document reviews.
- Work with relationship managers, credit analysts, and team leaders on active business initiatives.
- Support marketing activities to improve client engagement.
- Participate in program-specific projects, training sessions, and workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting, or Finance.
- A 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- An analytical mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The role is on-site, 40 hours per week.
- You will be expected to complete mandatory compliance training and orientation.
