About the role#
As a Quantitative Intern, you will join the Treasury Analytics Department. This role offers exposure to the Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) teams. You will assist with model development, model governance, financial data analysis, and agentic AI integration.
What you'll do#
- Build a working knowledge of the Treasury Analytics model inventory and the Model Risk Management Lifecycle.
- Learn the full process of data preparation, model training, validation, testing, and monitoring.
- Use Snowflake, PowerBI, and Git to work with large databases.
- Contribute to department projects using R or Python.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science in Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree candidates are preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and transform data.
- Proficiency in R or Python.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- A commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
- Finance and statistical modeling knowledge is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position for Summer 2027.
- The role requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- This position is open to residents of VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TX, and CO.
- The pay for this position is $22 per hour.
