About the role#
SouthState Bank offers a 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate students interested in commercial banking. This full-time, on-site role provides exposure to banking operations, credit culture, and financial strategies. You will work alongside experienced professionals, participate in training sessions, and contribute to business initiatives while building your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Participate in workshops, training sessions, and special projects.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify client needs and suggest banking solutions.
- Assist with financial spreads, due diligence on potential borrowers, and loan document reviews.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, credit analysts, and team leaders on active business tasks.
- Support marketing efforts to engage clients and promote banking services.
- Complete mandatory compliance training and new hire orientation.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A preferred GPA of 3.4 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- An analytical mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

- This position is located in Miami, Florida.
- The role is on-site, 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship for Summer 2027.
