About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program focused on marketing and communications within banking operations. You will work with the Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team to build writing and project management skills while gaining insight into corporate communication strategies. The program includes onboarding, training sessions, and networking opportunities with peers and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Participate in internship program activities, training sessions, and special projects.
- Develop content for internal team members and external customers across various communication channels.
- Review and update consumer letter templates and create content for fraud communications.
- Assist in preparing newsletter articles and internal spotlight pieces for the company Intranet.
- Support the monthly Corporate Communications reporting process.
- Participate in weekly or monthly Line of Business (LOB) meetings.
- Assist with system incident calls and update the MarCom Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Gain exposure to foreign language translation processes and communication project management platforms.
- Learn the process for scheduling external customer communications with mail-houses.
- Meet with MarCom leadership and team members to discuss projects and bank operations.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management, information systems, or a related field.
- Rising senior status with an expected graduation date in 2028.
- 3.4 GPA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products.
- Strong writing, content development, time-management, and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel.
- Completion of mandatory new hire compliance training and New Employee Orientation.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position (40 hours per week).
- The role is open to students located in VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TX, and CO.
- Internship term: Summer 2027.
