About the role#
The SouthState Bank Commercial Banking Internship is a 10-week program designed to provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive introduction to commercial banking operations, strategies, and career paths. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure to financial solutions and industry insights. The program includes orientation, professional development workshops, networking events, and mentorship to support your growth within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Participate in program activities, including workshops, training sessions, and special projects.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify client needs.
- Assist with financial spreads, due diligence, and loan document reviews.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and credit analysts on business initiatives.
- Support marketing activities to enhance client engagement.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status as a rising senior graduating in 2027.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics.
- A 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A detail-oriented and proactive approach to tasks.

- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- The role is on-site, 40 hours per week.
