About the role#
SMBC Group offers a 10-week Summer Intern Program for undergraduate students. This program provides exposure to firm-wide projects and supports various client deals. Interns work within the Americas Division Compliance Department, which promotes a culture of compliance and ensures adherence to regulations. This role is a pipeline to our full-time Analyst Program.
What you'll do#
- Build financial models and develop client presentations.
- Conduct research to support business objectives.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
- Provide guidance and support to business units across the firm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited university.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
- Commitment to working in a team environment.
