About the role#
SMBC Group is offering a 10-week Summer 2027 internship for undergraduate students interested in Human Resources. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functions. You will rotate through key verticals and work on a strategic project that supports our business priorities.
What you'll do#
- Engage in an initial onboarding and training orientation to learn our HR processes and systems.
- Rotate through two 4.5-week assignments across functions including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and Learning & Development.
- Contribute to high-value projects that support strategic HR initiatives.
- Participate in workshops, speaker sessions, and networking events.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
- Your expected graduation date is December 2027 or May 2028.
- You maintain an excellent academic record.
- You possess advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- You can communicate concepts and ideas concisely.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- The position follows a hybrid work model. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
