About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 term. Interns work on-site in Washington, DC, to assist the public affairs team with various strategic communications tasks.
What you'll do#
Interns support 5-6 client teams through a variety of daily operations and project-based work.
- Develop and distribute daily press clips.
- Build and maintain press lists of reporters, editors, producers, and bookers.
- Conduct research on diverse policy issues.
- Take notes during internal and client-facing meetings.
- Perform general media monitoring and provide support for crisis response efforts.
- Draft materials including press releases, social media content, and pitches.
What you'll need#
We welcome applicants from academic backgrounds including Communications, Political Science, Journalism, Public Health, and Business Administration. Candidates should be prepared to handle research, media monitoring, and drafting tasks in a professional environment.
