About the role#
SKDK is seeking a full-time intern for the Fall 2026 Executive Communications team in Washington, D.C. This paid internship offers the opportunity to support senior experts in crafting narratives and strategy for high-profile clients, including elected officials, CEOs, and foundation leaders.
What you'll do#
- Research persuasive content to support client communications.
- Draft background memos to assist the team with project development.
- Create engaging slide decks and presentations for client use.
- Copyedit and proofread materials to ensure consistency in tone, clarity, and AP Style.
- Prepare mock interview scenarios and assist with client coaching sessions.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to influence the news landscape.
- Prior writing experience gained through political campaigns, public affairs agencies, or similar organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Background in Communications, Political Science, Business Administration, Journalism, or Marketing is preferred.
