About the role#
Thatcher+Co. is a boutique corporate communications and integrated public relations firm. As an intern, you will work directly alongside senior strategists on live client accounts. You will be exposed to a wide range of sectors, including Fortune 100 companies, startups, and nonprofits. This role involves contributing to real deliverables and participating in team meetings and brainstorms.
What you'll do#
- Monitor media daily to track client coverage, industry trends, and competitive developments.
- Build and maintain targeted media lists across broadcast, print, digital, and social platforms.
- Gather research for proposals, news releases, media backgrounders, and client communications.
- Research venues for events and identify speaking opportunities for clients.
- Assist account teams with daily operations and client needs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in PR, communications, advertising, or marketing is preferred.
- Strong, clean writing skills with an attention to clarity and grammar.
- Ability to stay organized and self-directed while managing multiple tasks.
- Comfort working in an agency environment.
- Proficiency with standard workplace tools such as Microsoft Office and Teams.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid, with in-office attendance required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
